Joe Avery is a young man trying to pursue a relationship with a young woman named Yolandie Hurley(a Youtube personification), whom he knows has many other options. The relationship is on the rocks because Joe keeps running in and out of the relationship and these actions have made Yolandie suspicious; questioning his loyalty and true intentions.
Little does she know that Joe is actually struggling financially and is finding it difficult to afford Yoldandie's demanding lifestyle, while also spending his data on work, during these Covid-19 restrictions in South Africa. He finally decides to meet Yolandie in the abstract world of 'the internet', to give her an excuse and prevent her from walking away.
The truth is revealed though and Joe finally decides to get his priorities in order. He decides to break-up with her- defeating his character flaw, however, this is never seen as, before it happens, the audience is alerted to the fact that they have run out of data by a message that appears on their screen.
